Title: Seasonal Groundskeeper - Cemetery Assistant 

Description: Seasonal Groundskeeper for a small cemetery in Kearny, NJ. Hours are Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM (for most days). Some days you will be required to report earlier, or may be asked to work a few hours on a Saturday. Position typically runs from Spring through end of year, with potential to continue through the following season.

​Duties include but are not limited to:
Grass cutting (lawn mower, weed whacker)
Assistance with funeral processions
General grounds maintenance
Must be able to lift heavy items
Must live locally and/or have own transportation. There are expectations to arrive on days with inclement weather due to cemetery workers being essential workers.
Other duties may apply as you progress in the position.

This Job Is:

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal April - December with opportunity to stay all year.

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour to start during probationary period, performance raises may follow.

  • Monday to Friday 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM (for most days).

Education:
  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

License/Certification:
  • Driver's License (Preferred)
