We do an annual cleanup around January 15th every year. All decorations that you wish to keep should be removed from the grave prior to the week of January 15th (weather dependent). Anything left on the graves will be removed by the cemetery staff in an effort to maintain the cemetery. If there are items you wish to place back on the graves please wait until February 1st.
Decorating & Prohibited Items
All decorations on a grave should be kept to a minimum and must be no further onto the grave than 12" from where the monument would be located. Anything outside of this area will need to be removed as it will interfere with our maintenance efforts.
All flowers, real or artificial, must be placed in cemetery cones and cannot be pushed into the ground without the cone.
Any items that can pose as a safety risk will be removed. If a grave is unable to be maintained due to decorations they will be discarded without warning. If you are unsure that your decoration may violate our prohibited item list, you can email us a photo and we will be able to let you know if it will be acceptable.
Most generic cemetery decoration items such as real/plastic flowers in cemetery cones are acceptable to be placed on the grave. Please be aware that the wildlife in the cemetery will eat fresh flowers, so most people opt to use plastic.
Any items that are metal are glass we advise against because they pose a safety hazard when maintaining the lawns.
